Happy New Year!!!!

Sorry I haven't posted in forever!  I had a post saved in drafts that I accidentally forgot to put up.  Well I hope everyone had a great Halloween, Thanksgiving (if you live in the U.S.), Hanukkah, and Christmas.  All the holidays that were celebrated in 2011 I hope were wonderful.  Happy New Year to everyone!!!!!  While of course it is only the new year according to the Christian calendar(sun-based), I think it is the most celebrated which is why I am wishing everyone a Happy New Year!  Google's decoration for New Year's is very cute.  I really liked their Happy Holidays/ Christmas doodle.  It played Jingle Bells and each letter was decorated with a different wintery theme.  Well  I have a bunch to talk about, but I want to get this post up first so that you can all see that I wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Back in Town

Hi everyone.  I got back from vacation a few days ago.  My next blog post will include lots of pictures from Michigan where we stayed for a week and also Nebraska, since we went there for a family reunion after we were in Michigan.  Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that.  I will also be putting up a video I took of an awesome lightning storm in Nebraska.  Sadly, we do not get too many of those where I live.  Well, that's all for now.  I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the day.

Followers Disappeared!

Hi everyone.  Today as I was going on my blog, I noticed that my followers were missing.  In my dashboard it said I had seven followers, however on my actual blog it didn't bother to show their photos.  (Odd and annoying!)  I just sent a verification email to my account for my blog.  When I looked at my blog again, after I verified my account, I noticed that my followers (pictures of them) were missing.  I went on the help section and noticed that many other people have complained of the same problem. I did not really see anything that said how to fix this problem though.  If any other bloggers know how to fix this (or at least have an idea) on how to fix this please let me know by leaving a comment to/on this blog post.  Thanks so much, and have a great rest of the day or night.

P.S.Just to let everyone know, I changed the font of title for my welcome sign.  Thank you also to my new follower for following my blog.  Yay, now I have one more follower!  Have a marvelous day or night!

A Very Long Blog Post

Sorry I haven't written in a while.  I have had CST's, and finals, although I did have kind of have a two week time period to write, but then again I have been a bit sick.  Anyway, I wanted to wish all the father's out there a Happy Father's Day.  Also, today is my birthday, so yay for me!  I just wanted to let everyone know before I got onto my long list of topics.  You will see that this blog post should have been a number of blog posts, so sorry to anyone who does not like to read long blog posts.  Hopefully it will not be boring, yet rather very interesting! (Written on the 19th of June)

First of all, as everyone knows Osama bin Laden (or rather Usama Bin Muhammad Bin Ladin, Shaykh Usama Bin Ladin, the Prince, the Emir, Abu Abdallah, Mujahid Shaykh, Hajj, the Director) was killed on May 2, 2011 (day of the area he was located in) by the United States.  While this is probably old news for many, it is still important an important milestone in U.S. History.  We have finally killed the man responsible for founding one of the most horrible international networks: Al-Qaeda.  Not only did he have people crash airplanes into important U.S. buildings on September11, 2001,  but he did much more.  I think that it is good we have killed him now as this was the 10th year "anniversary" of the 2001 killings.  Sooner would have been nicer but luckily we have killed him.  I also feel that while it is great we have killed him, we should not be going all out and celebrating, but rather just be joyous.  Unfortunately another person has already stepped up to the plate to fill Bin Laden's position, but at least we have killed the founder.  Also unfortunately is the fact that we just have a bunch of nut jobs in the world, as my dad likes to refer to them. Anyway, enough about him...Here are some websites you can go to read up more information about Bin Laden.

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/osama-bin-laden-killed/story?id=13505703.
Also if you pick up an article from Time magazine on Bin Laden, you will learn a lot of information.

Yeah, sorry for so many websites.  There are probably way more things you can find on Google (and YouTube).   Now on to some new topics!  I was going to put a bunch of exclamation points behind that, but decided not to.  I guess I am in a very happy mood today.  Yay! (I just rhymed).  Okay, now on to the next topic.

So on June 19th I had my birthday.  Yay!  Now I am one year older,yip-de-do!!!!  Anyway, I got many presents from my parents, including an awesome hat for summer, (I live on the Northern Hemisphere, sorry  Southern Hemisphere folks, hope you enjoy your winter.) and and many other nice, lovely presents.  I was very excited that I got so many presents.  Anyway, enough about me and on to something more interesting.  I am thinking about starting my own organization related to teaching people a trade.  Their trade could be sold (possibly online) and 90% or so of the money would go to them, while the rest would got to flying out teachers to different places and teaching new people a trade along with giving people supplies.  We could also have supporters (people who already know how to sew or another trade) sew bags (or make something else) that says inspire others and things like that on them.   I haven't come up with a title, yet, but I will soon.  I am also going to research non-profit and profit-organizations. I have many ideas; however, I do not want to make this blog post too long, so I will save more information for next time.

As for the next topic, I must tell everyone that I am sorry I have not posted any new photos lately.  Also, I need to make sure that I get up my recipes.  While I do have band during the summer, I will make sure get them up for everyone.  Also, I would to like to tell everyone that graduated from high school or college congratulations!  I had a lot of friends who were seniors in high school and will be moving on to college.  South High just finished school June 16.  High school is a place where you develop many friends and is a place like no other, with both its ups and its downs, kind of like life.  It is very important though, because it is hopefully where you will truly develop things you like to do and then pursue that in college and in life.  Anyway, enough about high school.  Well there is much more to say but I don't want to make this blog post become extremely long (instead of very long).  Expect photos in my next blog post, and maybe a food recipe.  I hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the night or day.

P.S. Please note that his blog post was written over the course of a week and a half and that is why some things may be repeated.  Anyway, have a great day or night.

Here's A Quick Post To Make You Happy!

Hello everyone.  Here is an adorable picture of my cat sticking her head in a cup of water to drink.  Hope it brightens your day(or gets a laugh out of you-- yip-de-do-yay!).  If you are already happy then I am glad.  One should never remain unhappy for too long.  A quote I just made up probably said by millions already, but oh well.  Here's the photo:

My adorable twenty year old cat Angel!

Have a great, wonderful day or night.  Wish me luck on my wonderful, marvelous band concert tomorrow night.  Yahoo!  Go me and everyone performing!

Science, the world and the universe

After reading a science book, one learns a lot about the universe.  For homework, I was assigned to read two sections of this one chapter in my science book about the solar system.  Apparently all of the gas giants (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus,Neptune) have rings(Saturn's are just the most impressive and well-known).  They are also less dense but have greater gravity than all of the inner planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars).  Pluto is a dwarf planet related to the Kuiper Belt (a belt made mainly of chunks of ice and objects similar in composition and size to Pluto) and has been classified as a dwarf planet since 2006.  Sorry Clyde Tombaugh (astronomer guy who discovered Pluto).  Eris, one of the dwarf planets in the Kuiper Belt is slightly larger than Pluto and most likely led to Pluto being called a dwarf planet.  The credit for finding Eris goes to astronomer Mike Brown.  Well enough about the solar system, I am probably boring you (sorry).  I just find the universe so interesting.  I plan to study it in college (along with the beautiful subjects of art, music and writing).

Another thing I learned is that apparently oil is still seeping from the gulf and that there was practically no point in cleaning it up if there is still a problem (well we did get rid of some oil luckily).  Speaking of the Earth, I hope everyone had a wonderful Earth Day, and did their best to conserve and educate others about the environment, as we should every day.   I do my best to conserve, and I continue to get better with wasting less water.  Going back to the oil spill, if you are interested in learning more about what is till happening then  read an article by going to    http://articles.cnn.com/2011-04-20/us/gulf.oil.environment.recap_1_oil-spill-gulf-oil-puzzles-scientists?_s=PM:US or    http://www.nola.com/outdoors/index.ssf/2011/0/damages_costs_from_the_bp_oil.html

There are many other articles on the oil spill as well (along with numerous videos and pictures).  It is very unfortunate that something such as this was a man-made problem.  The effect of this will be catastrophic (and already has been).  I seriously hope that humans figure out ways to harness renewable resources of energy or at least make sure that what they have will not break down in any way.  I hope we can figure out not only the Gulf Oil Spill, but also problems in Japan, which were cause by a natural event (a 9.0 earthquake that resulted in a tsunami due to the fact that Japan in on a subduction zone that caused the nuclear problems in their country). There are so many articles on Japan, and you should definitely pick up a Time or Newsweek magazine on Japan, if you are interested in learning more about Japan.  Oh, the bad things in life.  Well, maybe people will learn to respect the planet more, now that these things have happened. I hope everyone has a wonderful day (or night), and make sure to do something good for Earth today and every day.
